Milk Vetch, root (Astragalus membranaceus Bunge)


  • Description

    PROPERTY: the root is adaptogenic (without increasing the pressure), draining both in the liver and in the kidney. It acts favorably on the immune system and is useful for counteracting the edema of the lower limbs with cold and numbness at the extremities.
    It is also anti-inflammatory in the presence of skin abscesses and drainage difficulties with stimulation of processes of re-administration of gastric ulcers.

    PREPARATION: Boil 1 teaspoon of root for about 5 minutes in a cup of water, then turn off the heat and leave to stand for 10 minutes, filter and drink.

    WARNINGS: possible interactions with beta-blocking drugs, anticoagulants, sedatives and hypnotics
