PROPERTY: willow bark is antirheumatic, febrifuge, antispasmodic, astringent, sedative, antihysteric, used for gout, in menstrual bleeding, is used in insomnia and nervous in anxiety states.
From it is derived salicylic acid.

PREPARATION: a teaspoon of bark decoction for 5-10 minutes in a cup of water and then leave to infuse for 15-20 minutes; drink more cups a day.
