This "Cookie Policy" is intended to provide, in line with the principle of transparency that governs our relationship with our customers, information on the types, purposes, and methods of use/management of cookies sent during navigation on websites managed by Erboristeria Officinalis srl. This site uses only "technical cookies" necessary to optimize navigation; this site may allow the sending of "third-party cookies." If you continue to browse this site, including by accessing another area or selecting an element thereof (for example, an image or a link), this implies your consent to the use of the cookies specified in the extended information (Article 4.1. General Provision no. 229 of 8.05.2014, Privacy Guarantor).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text strings that are sent from a website to the user's browser, stored on the device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) and retransmitted to the same site upon the user's next visit. A cookie typically consists of a string containing at least the name of the website from which the cookie originates, the cookie's "lifetime," and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number. Depending on who manages the cookies sent by a website, there are two types of cookies:

  • “first party” when they are managed directly by the owner and/or publisher of the website
  • “third party” when the cookies are managed by parties external to the website visited by the user.

First-party cookies

Cookies play an important role in web browsing. We use cookies to improve and facilitate user experiences by storing, for example, certain information about the browser used (e.g., language, country, etc.), avoiding the need to re-enter it on subsequent visits to the site. Erboristeria Officinalis srl does not use first-party cookies to track the online behavior of users of the websites it manages for its own marketing purposes. Cookies do not allow us to recognize individual users who visit our websites, only the browser used, unless they are logged in to their account.

What cookies do we use?

Below is a description of the types of first-party cookies sent by the website:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are essential for the proper functioning of certain sections of the site and are used to allow users to navigate normally and use the services available on our websites, without which they would not function properly. We also use technical cookies to track, in accordance with current legislation (see Provision "Simplified Arrangements to Provide Information and Obtain Consent Regarding Cookies" of May 8, 2014), the consent given by users to receive third-party profiling and analytics cookies. Our websites use or may use, including in combination, the following categories of technical cookies, divided according to the classification proposed in Opinion 04/2012 regarding the exemption from cookie consent issued by the Working Party pursuant to art. 29 at Community level (available here: ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/article-29/documentation/opinion-recommendation/files/2012/wp194_it.pdf;

Session cookies

They are sent to the user's device/browser to respond to technical-functional needs (for example, the transmission of session identifiers necessary for authentication to reserved areas) but are not stored persistently on the user's computer and are deleted at the end of the "session" by simply closing the browser.

Third-party cookies

While browsing our websites, some cookies that do not belong to our domains (so-called "Third-Party Cookies") may be sent, for example, when users visit a page containing content from a third-party website. Some Third Parties may send, via the websites managed by Erboristeria Officinalis srl, cookies that allow us to understand the habits and preferences expressed by users while browsing, in order to allow them to tailor the advertisements displayed on our websites. Some types of cookies, managed by Third Parties, also allow us to obtain aggregate statistical information relating to visits received and browsing habits, in order to improve the usability and performance of our websites.

Which third-party cookies do we use?

The websites managed by Erboristeria Officinalis srl may send third-party cookies belonging to the following types:

Analytics Cookies : These cookies are used to collect and analyze aggregate and anonymous information for statistical analysis on access and visits to our websites in order to improve the performance and design of our website. They may also be used to limit the frequency with which an advertisement is shown and therefore display advertisements based on user interests, as well as to help measure the effectiveness of a campaign.

Profiling Cookies : These cookies allow us to obtain information about users' browsing on our websites (for example, the most viewed products and/or services) and to recognize those who return to our websites, allowing us to build anonymous profiles aimed at making the advertising we deliver more engaging and targeted. No personal information that would identify an individual user and subsequently associate it with the created advertising profile is shared with third parties.
