Valerian, roots (Valeriana officinalis L.)

    PROPERTY: valerian root has cerebral sedative, antihysteric, antiepileptic, antispasmodic, sedative, useful against nervous insomnia, regulates blood pressure, is used in cardiac neurosis.
    The use of valerian does not impair alertness (also in the guide) and mental alertness so it is the ideal remedy for students under examination, for those who work intellectually and is subject to stress, neuro-vegetative dystonia, anxiety and nervous insomnia.

    PREPARATION: a teaspoon of root in decoction for 10-15 minutes in a cup of water and then leave to infuse for 15-20 minutes; however, the tea will be bitter!
