    PROPERTIES: the leaves of senna are laxative, purgative, decongestants. They are indicated in acute constipation when you need an easy defecation; The laxative effect usually appears after 8-12 hours.

    PREPARATION: half to one teaspoon of leaves to steep in a cup of boiling water for 10 minutes and drink in the evening.

    WARNINGS: Do not overdo it with the doses to avoid heavy discharges of liquid stool and cause stomach pains. Contraindicated in the presence of intestinal inflammation.
