PROPERTY: centaury is digestive, depurative, febrifuge, stomachic, heals liver failure, gastric disorders, lack of appetite, menstrual disorders, indicated in fever and skin irritations.
It acts by excitation of sensitive taste buds to bitter producing a reflex secretion of saliva and gastric juice. Its action of sympathetic stimulation produces acceleration of blood circulation resulting in increased tone of the vessel walls.

WARNINGS: contraindicated in ipercloridrie and suffering gastric hyperacidity.
